my opinion at this moment, late 2025. this might change!
my opinion right now, late 2025, about ai being "a bubble": i dont think it is, not at all. ai is revolutionary!
but, considering the actual intelligence and practical usefulness of ai in business, theres way too much fomo from investors.
this becomes clear from the number of companies doing implementations that arent really practical for the current tech level, just to please investors. in the real world, people are tired of "ai slop". (¬_¬)
what is ai slop?
its ai-generated content without human review, generic, empty and with no personality. blog posts written by ai that say nothing new. images with six-finger hands. chatbots that "implement ai" just to put it in the pitch deck.
investors and companies panicking and throwing money at ai without having a real use case. the result is bad products, generic, more of the same, frustrated users and ai getting an unfair bad reputation.
but ai is real and powerful
dont get me wrong. the technology itself is genuinely revolutionary. coding assistants, data analysis, document synthesis, code generation... all of this works really well when applied intelligently.
the problem isnt ai. its the uncontrolled hype that inflates expectations beyond what current technology delivers.
ai isnt a bubble in the sense of "it will collapse and be worth nothing". its more of an expectations bubble and irresponsible investment around a real technology. the tech is here to stay, but many companies that threw money without planning will suffer.
